Holiday seasons 2013

Sept-Dec 2013

Crockett Adventures

Well football season started and its one of my favorite times of the year.  Parker finds it funny to watch me watch football and Brayden now copies everything we do/say when watching football!  Josh started back to school for the fall semester, which always makes it harder.  He is taking Sociology, Spanish, History, and his last/final math class this semester too!  He was taking Spanish, but ended up dropping it toward the end of the semester.  It was really time consuming and he towards the end wasn't able to keep up with it. I didn't have to help him with math until the end either, and only helped him write his Sociology paper.  Other than that he did it all by himself!! All in all he at the end of the semester he had one A and two B's, I'm very proud of him!!  My sister, Desi, stayed with us most of the time while she was working a Denny's.  It was nice having her help with the boys, and house while I had morning sickness. We were able to celebrate Josh's brother birthday with his family in Pocatello.  We were also able to visit with my sister from Boise in Sept.  Josh went hunting with his dad close to the beginning of Oct. and Brayden wanted to go really bad with him.  Brayden kept grabbing Josh's stuff and trying to head out the door with him.  It wont be far down the road before Brayden will be able to go with his dad!!  Josh did take Brayden on a one day hunt in the desert, in our area, with his friend David Wells.  The boys went to a Declo football game with his grandparents, while Josh and I went on a date to the Albion Haunted Mansion, along with some friends and my sisters.   My hubby and sisters kept saying, "You better not go into labor, while going through here!" Lol! Lets just say being half way through my pregnancy and going through there was a workout!!  Besides all the stairs you have to climb, I had to crawl/ duck/ scoot through small spaces, yeah it was hard lol! I got to babysit one of my best friends baby girl for the first time.  Oh the boys loved her, maybe a little too much.  I took this as a little test run at what it might be like for when our little girl gets here.  At the end of Oct. we were able to go spend a week with Josh's family in Pocatello for Halloween.  I was able to go out on a girls night out with my mother-in-law (Julie), Ginger, Tristian, and Tiffany.  We went to the corn maze, dinner at Olive Garden, and ice cream!  I enjoyed and missed spending time with my friends, and was very grateful for Josh watching the boys while I went out.  This was the first year we actually took the boys house to house trick or treating.  Most of the time we just did trunk-or-treating with our church, family, and friends.  Wow, every house we went to the boys just wanted to go into the house to play, finally after a while they got the hang of things!

In Nov. Brayden had his first dental procedure done.  They were fixing a couple of cavities and had to sedate him.  I was really nervous, because I've never had to do this before and I wasn't sure how Brayden would handle it.  He was awesome through the whole procedure, that is until it was time to go.  He couldn't walk or anything from being sedated, but he kept trying to walk.  Every time he tried to walk he would fall straight to the floor.  The first couple of times it was funny, but after a while he started getting mad and was starting to hurt himself from the falls.  Josh ended having to sit and hold him tight (pretty much hog tying him down on his lap) for a couple of hours, so he wouldn't keep getting up until the drugs wore off some what enough for him to walk a little.  It was a nightmare, he screamed the entire time and would just keep getting madder and madder.   We were able to spend time with my sister and her kids for  her birthday!!  Thanksgiving was good, for the first time my sisters took over making all the pies!  We spent Thanksgiving with my side of the family, its always good to sit around and listen to all my uncles and cousins funny stories.  For Josh's birthday, I arranged the boys to stay with my sisters and grandparents,  while we had a night alone!  I cooked a steak dinner, watched movies, and ended up going to bed early.  I think this was a time for us just to catch up on some much needed sleep because we didn't wake up till 10am! Then later that next day we went out with some friend for dinner and then met up with my sisters and boys for some bowling!  Allison, Josh's sister, came to visit for a little bit one day.  She was having a horrible day and I was just lucky we were there to help her out.  We loved spending time with her and little Xavier!! We did Black Friday this year again, even though we really didn't want to, but there was one good deal we couldn't pass up that we wanted to get the boys for Christmas! As soon as Thanksgiving was over Josh had the Christmas stuff out.  Josh is a big Christmas decorating person, if it was up to him we would have Christmas stuff out at the beginning of November, but I am one of those people who wont even think about Christmas until after Thanksgiving.

December was a fun month for the most part.  They boys got their own big beds and love them.  They had to have the next to each other though lol.  Josh and I went to the Sheriff's holiday dinner,  It was so good,  I just wanted more and more of the steak.  They also had a dinner and Santa for the kids the next week, Santa even handed out a present for every kid! Brayden loved it and even went back for a second trip to Santa just to talk to him lol!  Parker on the other hand didn't really care much for it.  He didn't scream but he didn't really want to go either lol. Josh and I went on a little get away for our 5th Anniversary.  We didn't a lot of swimming, sleeping, eating and shopping lol!  We went down to Pocatello for a couple of days right before Christmas to spend some Christmas time with Josh's family.  I had a baking goodie night with my mother and sister -in-laws, while Josh spent time with the boys, his dad, and brother!  We had a nice family dinner with everyone!  Brayden and Parker didn't ever want to stop playing with their cousins and even days after would ask to go their houses!  We had some family drama right before Christmas, but kept pushing forward.  My sister and her kids stayed with us, for a week after Christmas until after New Years, visiting and have fun!  I loved it!  We haven't been able to spend that much time with all of them in almost a year. We had a late Christmas dinner with my family so we could have it with them.  All in all the Holiday seasons was good to us, with us only getting sick once!

The boys

Brayden has become such a smart little boy.  He has the biggest imagination I know and he makes me laugh so much!!  He definitely is my entertainer.  For example,  On Halloween he had a conversation with daddy's pumpkin.  Daddy had made a scary face with sharp teeth pumpkin.  Brayden said the pumpkin bit him, gave the pumpkin a spanking, said "no bite" and then put him time out lol!!  He is very excited about mommy being pregnant!  He will come up and give my belly hugs and kisses, and say its for the baby.  He even want to hear the baby, so we took the boys to one of my OB appointments so he could listen to the baby.  His eyes got all big and jump up and down in joy once he heard the baby. He likes to be in charge and takes care of things.  He's such a big helper all the way around.  He still a skinny mini, but has a big appetite!  I wonder were it all goes sometimes.  He's been fully potty trained, even with having his bowl movement problems.  He's been able to adjust and handle his problem.

Parker is getting big fast.  He is a very tough little boy and loves to get into things.  He is my dare devil and my cuddly bear all rolled into one. He is still a big mama's boy.  He has to have mommy do everything for him, no one else can do it not even daddy!  If he hasn't seen me all day, once I get home he's stuck to me like glue!  He loves to cuddle and watch movies with me.  He loves all animals and wants to cuddle them all the time.  He's gotten to wear he doesn't take any crap from big brother and defends himself now. Brayden most the time wont pick on him, because Parker can pick on him back if not worse. The boys get along pretty good still.   They play really good together, some times too much for mommy. They have their moments they don't get along. Its mostly when their fighting over a toy or one is annoying the other.  They still do give each other hugs/ loves just for the heck of it though.  They love to wrestle, but Brayden is getting to were he doesn't like it as much because Parker always beats him lol! Parker is just a really tough kid.  Our Chiropractor even says and thinks so, he said "this kid is like 110% muscle"!  Parker still likes to take risk and do all sorts of stuff, like jumping off his dresser and etc.   This kid will end up giving me a heart attack I swear!

Baby update

My morning sickness started to go away, but found out that I just couldn't eat hamburger, which was hard.  I ended up having to find new meals that I could eat and the boys would like. I craved chicken fried steak, salads, lemon filled donuts, tomatoes, tomatoes, and oh did I mention tomatoes.  I would want a big slice of tomato on everything and have tons in my salads! It had to be fresh whole tomatoes too, and not just foods with tomato sauce.  I didn't start having a sweet tooth until December though and only slightly, that's where my lemon filled donuts come in.  I had totally different pregnancy symptoms than I did with my boys.  Besides being really sick,  I had a sinus/ nasal problem, which I didn't know was a pregnancy symptom.  It caused me to have bloody noses, because the sinuses/ nasal is swollen and when I sneezed I would get a blood nose.  On the 2nd of Oct we found out that we would be having a baby GIRL!!!  Our appointment was at 7am and we took the boys with us so they could see the baby.  The ultrasound tech started with the head.  Once Brayden saw the baby's face, he said "Its a girl"! The tech said well lets see if big brother is right, and he was!!  When the tech typed "Girl", Josh was busy with Parker.  Parker could careless what we were doing, but just wanted to play and get into things.  When I finally got Josh's attention and told him to look. He still didn't know what I was talking about, and finally the tech said "your having a girl"!  Josh right then said, "can I go tell everyone"! I told him no that we would tell everyone together and told him he could take the boys out and get them some breakfast while I finished up with the ultrasound!   It was torture for Josh because I was another hour before I got done lol!!  We decided we want to tease everyone at first and say we were having another boy.  It was funny, the reactions we got were either they were bummed (but happy for us) or they teased us about having another boy!  Once we told them we were teasing but we were having a girl, they were all excited.  I think the funniest person reaction was Josh's mom!!

Sizzlen Summer 2013

July

Crockett Adventures-  At the beginning of the month my sister, Brittney, and her kids came to visit for the weekend. We all went over to the Heyburn Park to play some volleyball with the volleyball kit I got for my birthday.  When we got over there we found out the park was flooded, but we didn't let that stop us.  So we played water volleyball while the kids played in the water and playground. It was so much fun.  We also went down to Pocatello for Independence day and spent it with Josh's family.  We went to lunch with my friend Tiffany and her son.  Later that day we took family pictures and the boys did not do so good about taking pics.  It was a hassle just to get the pictures we got. That evening we went to Josh's grandparents house to visit with them.  David and Nicholya came over with their kids too and set off some small fireworks for the kids. At first my kids were scared but warmed up to them and slowly moved closer to the fireworks.  That night we went to Josh's uncles house to watch the city fireworks with a bunch of his relatives.  This is a tradition their entire family does, but this was the first year we've been able to go because Josh has always had to work on Independence day.  The fireworks didn't start till 11:15pm because it was so windy.  People were leaving and we were even starting to leave when they finally set them off.  Parker missed them because he had fallen asleep, but my night owl Brayden was very excited and verbal about them. After the fireworks were over we left straight for home, because Josh had to work the next day.  We got home about 1:30am.  The next day tho we went to my cousins house and set off some big fireworks with my family.  The boys were scared at first but as long as we held them, they were ok.  My brother, Brandon, and his family came up from New Mexico to visit for a week and to celebrate Zulay's, my niece, birthday with everyone. My sister, Brit, and family came down from  Boise as well.  So we had the whole gang here.  It was a blast and I loved it. We did so much stuff together and so much fun.  I didn't want it to end. Those are the best kind of memories I love.

Josh- Josh's school work picked up and was busy with school all the time.  His English class was the hardest and helped him with it quit a bit. He got done with school at the end of the month finishing with all B's for this semester.  He is a trooper and is glad he is done.  Now we can start having family summer fun more.  He found out at the end of the month that there was a Bailiff Job position available and decided to apply.  This way he can get patrol certified, work 730am-530pm everyday, have all weekends and holiday's off, and will be able to go to night school.  He will get a tiny pay cut, but he can only do so much of his schooling online for his degree.  So this will allow him to continue with his school and have a set schedule too!  We cant have everything we want, there always has to be some type a sacrifice.

Pregnancy and I-  At the beginning of the month my morning sickness started to kick in more and slowly to were I was sick all day long.  If I ate it made it worse and if I didn't eat it made it worse.  So I'm in a lose, lose situation. It suck because it made it impossible to walk my boys to the park everyday like I use to and I didn't do it all month. Some days  I would have my sister come and get the boys and take them out to my grandparents place to watch them, because I was so sick I could hardly move, which was like almost every other day it seems.  This way they could at least play outside. On the days I was feeling ok I would take the boys to the park, but drove them there because I knew I wouldn't make it walking them.  Other than that they didn't get to go outside, which made me sad and hard on me too.  They would want me to play with them and I couldn't, also them playing so much in the house made the house messier and I couldn't even get up to clean the house. I felt horrible all around.  Some days I was barely able to make them meals.  It was horrible when my family was down and I couldn't participate in some activities, but I enjoyed what ever I could get with my family.  Of course that meant that some of my siblings found out about the pregnancy, because I was so sick.  I was so happy when Josh got done with school so he could help me.  He has been so good about helping me once he was done with school.

The boys-  The boys are still the same amazing boys.  Brayden's potty training has become amazing.  Most of the month he has not had any pee accidents and even at night.  He tells us when he has to go potty every time were out about town now.  The trick with him was letting him go pee standing up.  Once he got the hang of it, it was like an instant thing for him.  He even goes to the bathroom without telling us when were at home. He opens the door, turns on the light, shuts the door, lifts up the seat, does his business, puts down the seat, flushes the toilet, opens the door, turns off the light, and closes the door all on his own without us having to tell him to do so now.  The only part we have to help him with, when he gets done, is washing his hands and its because he can't reach it all on his own.  We had to go to giving him chocolates to help him start potty training, but now he doesn't even ask for chocolate hardly anymore.  We started not giving him any unless he asked for one once he went potty, but we always cheer for him every time.  We do have to still work on him going poo tho in the potty.  I think the fact its so hard for him to poo in the first place makes it harder.  It very painful for him and I'm going to have to talk to the doc about it again with him, because nothing is really helping make it better for him.  I've started taking the boys to the Paul water park and they love it.  Before I started taking them there Parker wouldn't have anything to do with sprinklers or water toys like that.  Now he loves it and plays in them all the time.  Parker loves to catch the water in his mouth and drink it.  The boys loved having their cousins down for a week and staying with us. Parker and Zulay were always together.  In the mornings Zulay would grab her blanket, and they would go sit on the couch watching the Disney channel, while snuggling up together in Zulay's blanket. They were always giving each other hugs and kisses.  Brayden just loved having other kids around to play with him.  When ever someone ask me about my kids and how old they are, I always get a reaction when it comes to Parker.
I would say "Parker is not quit two yet."
They would say " really he's not two?  Wow He's a big kid.  That's going to be your football player"
If they picked him up they always comment on how thick and solid he is.  He's not fat just husky!  Even the doctors and our chiropractor always says it too every time we see them and say how strong he is too lol.

August

Crockett Adventures- This month did not start out that great!  I had just checked on Parker in his room and right as I got to the living room I heard a big crash from back in his room! I ran back there and found Parker under his dresser.  The dresser had fallen on top of him.  I could only guess that he was climbing up the dresser.  He had a gash on his head and his right hand was blue and swollen!!  It
Parkers beat up face
took everything in me not to freak out, but I still couldn't help but cry a little.  I hurried and got him out.  The blood was running down into his eye, so I got a rag to help stop the bleeding.  He wouldn't let me do anything.  I could barely touch him enough to get the blood from getting into his eye.  I called Josh at work to let him know that my sister was going to come get me to take him to the hospital, but Josh left work right away and took us in and Desi stayed home with Brayden.  It was a nightmare trying to get Parker to let the doctor clean his head so they could see if he needed stitches.  They had to pretty much hog tie him down to clean it up.  Fortunately he didn't need stitches, it was a big cut but just not deep enough to need them.   They had us stay a while to see if his hand needed x-rays.  The fact he would use his hand every now and then they didn't think he needed any. That night Parker was waking up every three hours crying and saying "ouch", whenever he would roll on his hand. That next day I had Brayden go stay at grandmas overnight while I stayed home with Parker, because Parker would try to play around with Brayden and just keep hurting himself more. After about 5 days later we took him into the Chiropractor to make sure nothing needed adjusted.  The chiropractor checked everything and his neck was really bad.  He said "it was so bad he was lucky he didn't have a serious neck injury!"  He check his wrist out too, because the swelling still wasn't going down.  It was because his ligaments were swollen and were needing to heal, but the fact Parker would still use his wrist wasn't giving them time to heal.  He ended doing a laser therapy on his wrist to help it heal faster and we came back every couple of days for him to treat his wrist.  In the end it healed really quickly! I love our chiropractor, he knows so much and is so good!!  I was so grateful right then for my husband and his hard work in getting the job he has.  Without his job we wouldn't of had the amazing insurance we have, which covers most of the hospital bill and covers all chiropractor bills and not have to pay a penny out of our pocket!!  We were able to at least attend the fair one day as a family, but it was in the middle of the day and it was 100 degrees so we didn't stay very long! Josh ended up doing security at the fair when he wasn't at work, so that's why we only got one opportunity to go.  My sister's did take me to the fair one night and the boys to the fair another night!

Our little one at 12 weeks
The rest of the month seemed to go by a lot better!  Josh didn't have school all month, so we were able to have some family time!  It was so nice to get to spend some quality time with Josh and the boys loved it.  Once we were able to get our ultrasound, we also made our announcement to our family and friends, we were going to be expecting again in Feb.  We got to go to the fair with the boys, they love seeing all the animals.  It was super hot tho (100 degrees that day), so we didn't stay for long. Josh actually did security at the fair during the evenings/ nights. We also were able to have Josh's parents stay with us for two days, which was awesome!  They boys loved it so much that they cried when they left.  We went to the water park often for the boys to play.

Parker got into my mascara!!
The boys playing at the water park

Brayden at Parker's Birthday party
The Birthday Boy
The boys-  Parker turned two this month, and boy is he getting big so fast!  We celebrated his birthday at the water park with family and friends, since he loves that place.  Unfortunately it was rainy, but it didn't stop us.  They had pavilions there that we were able to use and stay out of the rain, until the very end when we were finishing up and the wind picked up.  The boys haven't really changed much.  Their still a handful in their own way.   Parker loves climbing and getting into things, while Brayden is bossy and annoys his brother from time to time.  They both like to help mommy from time to time, mainly with the dishes and laundry.

Baby and me-  Well this month seemed a little better then the last month. I was able to get up and take care of the boys some what properly, with laying down all the time. Josh not having school this month helped a lot. One day I felt so good I was able to walk the boys to the park, but it didn't last long. by time we got home I was feeling horrible again.  I was grateful for the fact at least I could take care of them some what.  I still wasn't able to eat much without getting sick.

The beginning of Summer 2013 (June)

June

 Crockett Adventures
Now that we've been moved into our new home the boys and I had started a routine.  We get ready for the day and at 11am we walk to the park (well I walk and push them in the stroller), which is a half mile away.  They don't have any grass planted around us yet because they are planning on building more apartments next to us.  Also, this way I can get somewhat of an exercise and the boys can get out of the apartment. They love going to the Park. Josh has started summer school and is staying way ahead of his assignment so far.  He is taking a math and his last English class (which is the hardest class for him right now).  Josh and I hang out with Candi and David Wells and family often.  We have double dates with them and my sister Mickela has become our babysitter.  They come over at least once a week, have dinner with us, and watch a movie or play some games.  We started going swimming at the local pool with the boys.  I wanted to start them in swim lessons but they have to be able to stand in 3ft of water without help or any problems.  Parker can barley stand in 3ft but cant walk around without help :/. For my Birthday we went to Derky's lake and hung out with my family, then later that night had dinner with family and friends.  I love swimming in lakes.  For some reason I have a hard time adjusting to cold pool water, but I have not problem swimming in cold lakes!  I also started teaching my little brother how to dive.  We were excited to have Josh's family (Allison, Alex, Xavier, Mom and Dad) visit us a couple of times in our new home. My Brother finally married my new sister-in-law, Jenny, this month and I'm so happy for them.  On the 22nd I took a pregnancy test, because I was a week late.  It came back positive, I was pregnant too.  My hubby has been wanting me to have another baby and so have other family and friends.  I didn't want to have all my kids really spaced out. I wanted them about 2 yrs apart.  This way we wont be so old when the kids grow up or I wont have a chance of having problems with being older and pregnant at the same time (as it seems to happen in my family).  We decided we would try this year just to stick to the plan, but I couldn't decide if I was ready to handle another baby as much as I wanted another one.  I mean my boys are a handful.  My sisters even go crazy when trying to deal with them by themselves mainly because they're such busy bodies lol.  So I compromised with my hubby I told him I would give him 2 months out of this whole year to see if  I would get pregnant.  We wouldn't try but we wouldn't not try at the same time. If it was meant to be it would happen, if not  then we would wait till next year.  As you can see it happened and I will be due March 1, 2014 (I figured anyways).  We decided we wouldn't tell anyone until we seen the doctor tho, which is for Aug 1st.  It was really hard to hold our tongues too, but we did.  Also we didn't know how some of our family would take our news of us having another kid already.  I know people these days are like you need space your kids and not have so much.  It just the way it is in society now.  We didn't want the negative when we had just found out and were happy about it.  We wanted time to enjoy the moment without the negative thoughts or words from others right now.  To give us time to build a wall so when were heard the negativity it would just bounce right off us and not bother us.  Josh and I were able to go on a date by ourselves to twin where we did go karts, mini golf, pool, and eat pizza. It was all free too, because it was an event for all law enforcement.

The Boys

Brayden and Parker are two opposite little boys.  They had a hard time getting use to each other in our new home.  They don't have as much space as they did when we lived with my grandparents out in the country area.  They fought a lot because they didn't know how to handle the other in their space.  Brayden does like having his own room now.  He shows it really bad.  He acts like he owns it and will tell you to get out. When he is mad, sad, or just wants to play alone he'll go to his room and shut the door.  Parker started sleeping in his own bed all the time now.  Only when he wake up in the night crying, because he's scared does he come sleep with us.  He is still on the bottle.  I don't know how to get him off.  He only wants it when its time to sleep at night and naps, or when he wants to cuddle.  Parker seems to get into everything even more now, because he doesn't have a lot of room to explore or roam.  Its like he gets so bored really easy and that's why he likes going to the Park the most.  Brayden will have days where he just wants to be lazy and do nothing/ go anywhere.  Now that it is starting to get hotter I decided, that besides Sundays, we would take a break in the middle of the week from the Park.  Parke seems to know that we need leave and is coming to me and saying "Go".  Now that we go to the Park Brayden and Parker have gotten to swing and go down slides more.  They were both terrified of swinging and a little scared of going down the slide. After about a week of going to the park Brayden loved to swing so much that I have to do an under doggie to get him high enough, but Parker still is scared and has to have me hold him and swing together.  They both love to slide.  Parker loves it so much he'll slide head first and on his belly.  Brayden will slide down on his belly sometimes too.  Parker is my wonder/ explorer.  He likes to wonder around the park, climb on top/ up of everything and as high as he can go.  He even walks around the tennis court area just to wonder.  Brayden is my calm kid.  He stays by mom and plays.  Whenever he sees Parker wondering off, he'll say " Mom, Parker going away, get him"!  Parker cant get away with anything while having Brayden as an older brother.  Brayden is always telling to me to have Parker go to bed when Parker has done something bad, and saying "Parker's trouble" lol!  They both love taking baths so much sometimes they take them up to three times a day, but always a least once a day.  They also love going swimming.  Parker use to hate even getting near a swimming pool he would scream bloody murder, but now his is the exact opposite.  He wants to go on his own even in the big pools, trying to swim like everyone else.  He hate being restricted.  Brayden has always loved swimming since he was a tiny baby.   When the boys get bored they like to use me as a playground and climb all over me.  We also started going to a new ward and I was afraid how the boys would handle being without me.  They've always been with me since the day they were born because I was the nursery leader and this was the first time without me.  The first Sunday was good they had no problem what so ever.  Then the second Sunday came and Parker didn't want me to leave.  I've learned that once he starts playing with the toys I need to leave as quick as possible.  If he saw me at all he would start crying and want his mom, but as long as he didn't he never cries.  Brayden on the other hand is the opposite.  I cant get him to leave church.  When its time to go I have to drag him all the way out to the truck.  He'll hang onto the doors, sides of the walls, and anything he can grip to keep from leaving.  Its hard on the Sundays when I'm by myself, because Parker is trying to run away to go to the truck and Brayden doesn't want to leave. I end up having to take Parker to the truck and then go get Brayden, but only once in a while.  We've had to get use to trains coming through, because we live right next to the train tracks.  Whenever the boys hear a train they have to go to the window and watch it till its gone.  I have my first instance of Brayden using permanent marker all over the bathroom door and wall for the first time.  Ya I was not happy. Both my boys love to help me clean around the house.  They both like to help load the dryer, washing machine, dish washer, help me sweep (they usually will hold the dust pan for me), and help vacuum.  Its too bad I can't get them to do the laundry too, but instead make a bigger mess of the laundry when I try to do it. Brayden is good about throwing away things in the garbage and putting dirty dishes in the sink all on his own.  I never force them to help with cleaning the rest of the house, I simple ask them if they will help.  Every time they want to help and I praise them every time they do help. When it comes to cleaning their room Brayden is the biggest helper.  Parker will hand me things for a little while, but then gets uninterested and wont help.  Sometimes they don't finish, because they totally refuse to clean the little bit that's left.  I try not to force them too much, because I know if you push to hard then they will totally stop cleaning all together. I thank them for what they do clean, and tell them they did a good job.  Most of the time Brayden will finish cleaning the rest.  We started working on Brayden's potty training a lot more now that we have our own place and can let him go without a diaper to help him.  He is starting to get better about peeing in the potty but still not pooping.  Parker is the biggest mommy's boy there is out there.  He loves to snuggle and give loves. Brayden is very thoughtful of his little brother.   Whenever  he gets a candy or anything.  He always asks where's one for Parker. Brayden doesn't like to give kisses on the lips and will only give you a kiss on the cheek.  If you try to give a kiss on the lips, he'll turn your head and give you a kiss on the cheek lol.  Parker is getting big, as Brayden says "Parker is bigger than me"!  He isn't quite bigger than Brayden.  They weight about the same Brayden only weights 2 lbs more than Parker, but Brayden is about 4in taller than Parker.  Parker is tall, very bulky and sold. As everyone says he's going to be a big kid. Where as Brayden is tall and skinny. We love our boys so much and wouldn't have them any other way.

The start of a new adventure, Spring 2013

March 2013-May 2013

This spring has been very eventful for our family.  In March we were able to go down for Practor's birthday party and spend some fun time with family in Pocatello. I missed one of my best friends baby shower for her first baby due to a blizzard we were still getting in March (go figure). My friend had her little girl on the 18th, Sadie. I was luck enough to be able to be at the hospital when my sister Allison had her first baby!! I didn't think I was going to be able to be there since she went into labor the evening before, but since she still had her baby yet that next morning.  Thanks to my sister Desi for watching my boys, I was able to drive down to Pocatello that morning and witnessed her little miracle that afternoon on the 25th .  So I received a new little nephew Xavier!  We also able to finally go meet little Sadie too!  That was a blessed month of new babies coming into our lives!  Josh's schooling was getting harder, especially in Math and English, and wasn't doing so good at the time.  So I stepped in and became his tutor.  Everything started to become stressful for all of us.  Besides, me having to take care of the boys and house, I now had to go over Josh's homework before hand so I could explain it to him/ teach him.  So It was like I was a single parent going to school full time as well.  It was hard, but I was glad to help my husband achieve his dream.  I was very glad that I had gone to college for a couple of years before hand, so I could help him.  I was really surprised I still remembered how to do all the math too.  We got through it together and in the end we were stronger. For Josh's spring break we were able to have a couples get away for a weekend.  My sister's watched our boys while we went and some time alone.  We haven't done anything like that since we first had Brayden.  I was always to worried to leave my boy(s).  We needed this time alone together and it was a lot of fun.  Josh got to go meet his new nephew for the first time and we surprised his parents too. We decided to get a liter of pop, box of popcorn, candy, a movie and pizza from pizza hut, then we left it on their front door steps, knocked and ran away just like little kids lol!  We spent St. Patrick's day and Easter with my family and were able to have my sisters, nieces, and nephews down to visit both holidays.  I love family time its so fun and Josh was lucky enough not to have to work either. Josh was able to take Brayden fishing for the first time too and Brayden loved it.  After that he asked to go fishing everyday.

April was just as busy it seemed right at first.  We celebrated Brayden's birthday with all my family and some good friends of ours.  Brayden got to go fishing for his birthday too and got his own fishing pole for his birthday!  Later that week (on the weekend) we went to Pocatello and celebrated Brayden's birthday with all of Josh's family and friends at Kiwi Loco (thanks to Chelsie and Doug for the idea and coupons).  Right after that weekend we headed to Idaho Falls were we spent another week in a hotel, while Josh went to some training there.  The boys had never traveled that much before and for that long.  When we first arrived at the hotel Brayden said "no, go home". It made my heart ache, but after he found out there was a swimming pool he was all good.  Parker did not like swimming at all. You would get close to the pool and he would start crying.  I decided that I was going to take him in anyways and show him how its not scary, since Josh was at training all day I had to do it all by myself.  I was a little scared I wouldn't be able to handle both boys while swimming, but I did it.  It worked out great too.  Parker even started liking to swim and would play around with Brayden in the pool.  Both boys liked to swim so much that is all they wanted to do once they woke up in the morning.  I also had a little experience while we were there.  Josh would ride with a co-worker to training leaving me with the truck in case I needed it. Well I decided to go to the mall with the boys and pushed them around in the stroller.  The mall had a little play area for the kids and so I let the boys go there to play.  Brayden met a new friend too.  The little boy wanted Brayden to come to his house and play.  It was so nice and cute seeing Brayden playing with other kids.  There is no kids in our area his age so he hardly gets the chance to play with other kids his age.  Once they got done playing we started to head back out to the truck to go get some lunch.  There was hardly anyone at the mall too.  As I was pushing the boys one of the big back tires of the stroller popped really loud and it was so loud it hurt my ears.  There was no one around/ near us at all so I didn't think anything of it.  Next thing I know there were cops coming in with guns drawn and started searching the place.  I was wondering what was going on.  As I walked by a couple of cops they were talking about it and how they said there was a loud bang like a bomb or gun shot.  I was so embarrassed.  I couldn't believe they were here because of my tire blow.  I turned to them and said I think it could of been my tire.  They looked at it and back at me and said "no I don't think so because this was really loud."  Well I wasn't going to stay around to be questioned or anything so I headed out and once I got outside there were more cop cars showing up!!  That's an experience I'll never forget.  Josh thought it was so funny he wanted to watch the news just in case it said something about it on there, thank heavens it didn't!!!  It was a nice family get away (sorta).  Josh's worked paid for the hotel and all the meals.  It was nice to have dinner every night with Josh's co-worker, Jenifer Lee, getting to know her.  I also got to spend some time with one of my other best friends Tristian.

May finally came around and that meant Josh was almost done with his spring semester of school.  He did really good.  He got one A and three B's. I was so proud of both our hard work on getting him through this semester.  Well we finally got some really good news. We would be able to move out into our own apartment.  We've been waiting and wanting this for so long, but every time we tried something happened and we weren't able to.  I think Heavenly Father knew we were meant to live in this apartment and that's why every other time fell through.  We were finally able to move into our new home on May 17th and about a week later had everything put away.  I didn't realize how much stuff we had till now.  I was afraid the boys would not handle the move very well, but they did all right.  The first night Brayden said he wanted to go home and we had to explain to him that this was our new home. He didn't like it and told us no, but after that first night he was good.  I think both boys are enjoying having a room to themselves.  They both have grown up since this move. Parker is actually going to bed on his own and without a bottle.  Brayden goes to his room whenever he's tired and goes to bed on his own.  They seem so much mature now.  Brayden will stay in his room and play most of the time.  They are good about playing together, but just like most kids they will fight over a toy every now and then.  We are still having problems with potty training Brayden.  He just wont go to the bathroom, even when we ask him he tells us no.  I don't wan to force it on him, because I was told that would make it worse.  Parker has been wanting to sit on the potty every now and then, so I let him. It seems every time Parker wants to sit on the potty then Brayden will too.  So maybe if I get Parker potty trained so will Brayden.  We went to our new ward.  Parker and Brayden seem so much bigger than the other kids their age lol, especially Parker.  I didn't know how the boys would be going to nursery without mommy.  I've been a nursery leader ever since they were born. So I've always been with them.  They did awesome.  Parker didn't even notice or cared I left, but Brayden was a little shy and kept hold of me for a little bit until they got him doing stuff.  Josh and I have been able to have more time together and time as a family since he's out of school for the rest of the month. We've also been able to spend sometime with our friends Candi and David Wells, love them. The boys and I have started a new routine too.  We get up in the morning eat, get ready for the day, and clean the house before 11am.  Then I get them in their stroller and I walk them to the park which is a half mile away.  The Heyburn city park has a program were they feed all the kids healthy lunches and its free for the kids.  Now my kids can have time outside and play with other kids while I get my exercise and get some tanning done lol.  We're loving this new adventure of ours and hoping for the best in the future.

Starting off with a bang of an New Year

  Jan-Feb 2013

Our year started with all of us being sick with the stomach flu, yeah for us lol!  January was the hardest month of all our years together.  It really tested us in so many ways.  Due to the fraud we were not able to pay certain bills, because all our money from his checks were going to the bank.  The banked worked with us tho.  They allowed us to have $400 from each check.  It was hard to decide which bills to pay and which ones to make a late payment next month (with the chances of them being canceled).  We knew for most that the kids were first.  We made sure they had all the diapers, food and things they needed.  Some days all we had to eat was cereal and peanut butter sandwiches.  This and helping my grandparents our financially also put a big hold on moving into our own house.  I guess heavenly father knew this was going to happen and that's why we never got any of the houses in December. I can't imagine the state we would of been in if we were had just got a house and this happened too.  It was hard, but I guess this trial was made to help us budget better and reminded us things to be more grateful for in life.  There are so many others out in the world and our own country that go without even less than we did.  I just so grateful for our family and the love we have for each other.  I'm also grateful for my husbands and his job.  He worked extra hours in hope to help us out of this situation.  On top of it He started school the third week of January.  He is amazing and I'm so grateful to have such an amazing man in my life.  I know there were nights/days he was so exhausted and I just wish I was more of a help for him.  We talked about me going back to work and I applied for some jobs, but there is just no jobs for what I could work with us only having one vehicle.  We were hoping that we would get his school money to help us out, but CSI doesn't give out the extra money till the week after school starts.  So we didn't receive his school money till the last day of the month.  We only received half of it too and they said we wouldn't receive the rest of it till the end of March.  I really don't understand why they do that, but I guess they have their reasons.  It still helped we were able to pay up on all our bills and more.  The cloud of smoked had cleared and we could breath fresh air again.
Our bad luck didn't stop tho, around the middle of the month I got really sick with everything you could think of.  I was so not happy because I got sick a couple of days right before most of my siblings, nieces, and nephews were going to be down that weekend.  When were all together we never sleep. We're all up playing game, watching movies and just having fun all day and night.  I how ever couldn't join them the entire time.  I tried to stay clear so I wouldn't get any of them sick, but I was able to play a couple of game here and there.  We'll I didn't get any of them sick, but I did get my kids and hubby sick.  We came to find out that this virus we all had was dangerous for little kids.  It acts like just a cold, but it never goes away.  There was a little girl that died from it in our area.  All of us had it for three weeks, except my hubby because he went into the Doctor once he started having signs for it.  There is no specific drug either for it, it is a guessing game to see which drug would work.  It was something new the doctors were seeing going around.
February started out a little better than January.  The only bad thing was the boys were still really sick.  My sister-in-law had her baby shower and I did the games for it.  I had a lot of fun, but wished we would of been able to stay up in Pocatello with family for Superbowl weekend.  I just ended up driving up that day with my sister Desi and after the shower drive right back home.  I didn't want to stay too long with my boys being sick.  Josh took off work to stay home with the boys, so I could go, which I was so grateful.  He does so much for me/us sometimes I wonder how he does it.  He is my superhero!!!   At times I look back and think "wow, I really don't show him how much I appreciate him and need to do better!"  The second week of February all of us were feeling all better again and haven't gotten sick again yet (crossing my fingers)!  Josh and I were able to go out on a double date with some friends.  We stayed in Twin Falls overnight and went shopping for some clothes for the boys and a little for us.  It was nice to get out and get away and leave the worries all behind for a little bit.  We didn't have much worrying anymore, all except Josh's school work.  Josh is doing really good with school, right now he has all A's and one B.  I'm glad that I can at least help take off some stress for him by helping him with his homework.  I mainly help him with math and English, but once in a while I'll help with art history.  I have started working out doing Insanity with my sisters.  I am determined to get some of this weight off by summer time, but hopefully I can do this for longer.  We also got to visit/spend time with my sisters, nieces and nephews again and this time for a lot long than normal, it was nice.
My little boys are getting so big so fast.  We have our routine every morning and if I try to do something different they are grouchy for some reason.  First thing in the morning they get up and want to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  They watch it till I have breakfast ready, then we eat.  After its baths and getting ready for the day.  As long as the mornings are in that order the day goes by peachy.  Brayden is my little boss.  He will tell Parker no, when he's getting into something he's not suppose to be into, and tell him to go to the corner.  If Parker doesn't do what he says Brayden will come tell me that Parker needs to go to the corner or bed.  He has become a clean freak.  He cant stand anything on his hands, face, toys, or clothes.  If anything get on them he'll come straight to me and tell me to was them.  He won't eat anything with his hands, because he doesn't like them dirty.  He'll ask/tell one of us to feed him.  Its sometimes a problem because I can't always feed him and most of the time he only wants me to do it.  I've been telling him no and to eat it himself, but he is just as stubborn as I am.   I sometime don't know what to do about it.  Even when Brayden has a runny nose he'll come to me and say he needs to blow his nose.  He's really good at blowing his noses and he doesn't stop till he has it all out lol.  He is very obedient kid.  He does what he is told and doesn't get into anything he knows he's not suppose to get into.  He still loves taking long baths/showers.  He still isn't potty trained.  I just cant get him to do it.  He just doesn't want to do it. I know if you force him he wont ever do it on his own.  So I guess I'm going to have to be patient and wait for him to come around.  He has gotten a little better about eating meats, but not much he'll eat every thing else. He wont drink milk at all unless its chocolate milk, but only once in a while.  He mainly will just drink juice or Kool Aid.   Brayden has gotten to were he likes giving hugs and kisses but only kisses on the cheek.  He has lately been really clingy to mommy.  He wants to be held a lot, carried up the stairs, and have mommy sit and watch a movie with him, but most of the time he's a daddy's boy.  That's why it has been so surprising to me that he wants me a lot. He loves to paint, read, wrestle around (as he says you want to fight lol and no he didn't get that from daddy, but my sisters!), and draw too.  He is 37 1/2" tall and weights 29lbs! He has a lot of movies and shows he likes, it just depends on what mood he is in depending on what he will want to watch.  His favorites of all time are "Cars", "Kung Fu Panda", "Happy Feet 2", "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", "Little Einsteins", "Barnyard", and "Megamind"!  He still is my night owl, but I've gotten him to start going to be around 9:30ish in stead of 11pm, that is if he doesn't have a late or long nap.  He is good about taking medicine and brushing his teeth.  He still have a fixation on his same pillow and blanket, which is funny because his blanket is actually a blanket I got from his Aunt Allison for Christmas one year.   Parker is totally opposite of Brayden.  He is my cuddle gentle and crazy baby.  He gets into everything and climbs everything.  If you tell him no, he will still do it and it doesn't faze him one bit when he gets into trouble.  He thinks its funny and I don't know what to do with him.  He loves to give hugs and kisses.  He doesn't hit or mean unless he is rough housing with dad and brother.  He is a BIG mommy's boy.  He wants mommy for everything and only mommy can make things better.  He thinks jumping up and falling on his tummy or bum it funny.  He also thinks hitting his head on things is funny too.  This little guy is crazy and he gives me heart attacks everyday. Anything that seems/looks dangerous to do he tries to do it and thinks its funny!  He doesn't care for much TV.  He'll sit and watch a little, but after a little bit he's up getting into things.  He hides everything, if you cant find something its mostly he got a hold of it and put it in a cupboard somewhere throughout the house and behind everything.  After a couple of weeks tho he usually gets it out lol.  I've found everything you can think of shoes, toys, toothbrushes, canned goods, jars, clothes, dads wallet and etc in the cupboards throughout the house. He is obsessed with shoes, every morning right after he wakes up he runs and grabs his shoes wanting me to put them on.  If I take his clothes off he still has to have his shoes on. He is getting better with stay words and telling us what he wants, which I'm loving.  He still takes a bottle when going to sleep.  He doesn't really drink out of it, I think its mainly for his teeth.  He still is teething quit a bit.  He has 8 teeth total and the rest are coming in at once right now.  He hates brushing his teeth and taking medicine.  He's really good about eating his meals.  He does not like being fed at all.  He has to do it himself.  I am having a hard time getting him to use utensils.  The only time he'll use a spoon is when eating oatmeal or mash potatoes.  He really doesn't like drinking anything but water and milk (mainly milk).  He also hates pools.  We try to get him into the pool, but all he does is pick up his feet and scream until his is totally out of the room/area of the pool.  Funny thing is tho he loves baths and showers.  He is just a weird kid lol!  He is catching up to his brother in size tho.  He is 34" tall and 25lbs, he is starting to get a belly too lol!  Oh I love my boys!

December/Christmas

December/Christmas 2012

This month my hubby and I celebrated our 4yr anniversary!  It was difficult for us to get the opportunity to celebrate it too!  We had a wedding, sick kids, his job, his work trainings, and Christmas to work around.  We were able to work things out except being able to attend a wedding or celebrate our anniversary.  We decided to be less selfish lol and go to the wedding :)! Our wonderful luck striked again, our little Parker got really sick the night before the wedding, so we didn't go to the wedding.  I told my hubby to go, but he didn't want to go without me.  I eventually convinced him to go to he reception with our Brayden and I would stay home with little Parker!  He wasn't able to stay long unfortunately due to the weather and travel.  We started to try and get our own place, but we kept striking out every time.  Then we had a fraud issue at the end of the month and lost around $1000, we will never get that money back either.  We struggled all the way till the beginning of Feb before we were above water again.  Our luck was on the poor side this month of all months.  I was feeling really beat down and didn't think it could get any worse.  Later on that month I went visiting teaching, and I visit teach the most wonderful ladies.  Two of them were/are fighting cancer.  They are so optimistic and are the most up beat people even through all the horrible things they go through daily. They never let anything get them down and yet still find time to help other.  I know that I was meant to be there to visit teach them, but for me not them.  I went home thinking I have it so easy compared to them who am I to complain.  If they can keep going so can I.  They have been such an inspiration in my life.  I'm am grateful everyday for them and hope that I can be an amazing woman like them!
Josh was able to get a whole week off for Christmas using his vacation time, It was great and much needed time to get away.  We spent most of the vacation time in Pocatello with his parents and siblings.  It was the first time, ever since right after we got married, that we were able to spend Christmas with his family. We did  miss being able to spend time with my nieces and nephews that came down to Burley to spend it with my family.  As usual tho we drew names with my entire family.  We took our gifts from others with us to Pocatello and did a conference call with my family in Burley and New Mexico to guess who had each others names.  Brayden and Parker both got a 9v four wheeler, clothes, tons of trucks and toys, and movies.  Josh and I got a flat screen 42" TV for Christmas from Santa ;)!  Josh got a bunch of xbox games, movies, shirts, pants, and hunting stuff.  I got movies, the entire TV series of Stargate, different kinds of house decorations (from Allison, Chelsie, and Tiffany), dolphin pocket watch (from ginger), shirts, pants, jewelry, perfume, two different kinds of the game Clue (my favorite game in the world) and a blue tooth.  My sister's cursed my hubby for getting me the game Clue lol, because they knew they would have to play it with me lol!  We had a great time in Pocatello.  I also got to see and spend some time with my friends Ginger and Tiffany.  I also went to a girls night Christmas party with a bunch of friends.  It was so much fun and I hadn't act that stupid/silly in so long I almost forgot what it was like and I didn't come home till 1am lol!  I thanked my hubby so much for watching the kids and letting me have that time with my friends.  I was hoping to spend some time with my sister-in-laws and mother before I went to the party but we had to wait for my cousin to bring us our gifts to take with us.  So I wasn't able to because we left a lot later than I was planning.  We had a yummy Christmas brunch with Josh's family and opened gifts that morning with everyone.  Later that day we left for Burley and was able to eat Christmas dinner with my family.  Lets just say we were stuffed for a couple of days lol!
The day after Christmas it snowed a lot and it was one of those big snowflake no wind snow fall.  I love when it snows like that, because its not cold hardly at all and a lot more fun to play in.  So of course, Josh and I took the boys outside to play that day with their new 9v four wheelers and new snowsuits.  They loved it and we also had a snowball fight, of course everyone gained up on mommy for some reason.  The night before New Years eve my little Brayden got a 48 hour flu bug.  He was throwing up all night till morning and half of it was just dry heaving since he didn't have anything left in him.  The next day he still couldn't eat because he's stomach still was upset, but by the next day after that he was doing good.  But, the night of New Years eve Josh, Parker, and myself got what Brayden had and we were all up.  So I went 2 days with no sleep.  I was one very tired mommy and we weren't able to make it to the Crockett reunion because we were all sick!  We had a roller coaster ride for December, it was either really good or really bad, we had no in between lol!

The month of Thanks.....

Crockett Adventures-    This month my hubby and I got to go to the Boise Temple re-dedication.  It was the first one we have ever been to and the spirit was so overwhelming, its impossible to explain!  It really put into perspective what I need to be working on to become more like Christ! We also made a couple of visits to the hospital with my Parker Gene!  We got to see my older sister, Britt, and her kids for Britt's birthday and Thanksgiving!  I've missed them so much!  We haven't seen them since the beginning of this summer.  We had a lot of fun with them, even if it was only for two days.  They are growing so fast.  We were planning on going to Pocatello for Thanksgiving week, but poor Parker ended up sick so we stayed home with my family.  I was really bummed too, because I was really looking forward to shopping on black Friday with my best friend Tiffany, going to see the last/final Twilight movie with my sister Allison (which I still haven't seen) and of course seeing family.  We also celebrated my wonderful hubby's birthday.  Thank heavens for my sister, Desi, who helped me make dinner and cake for my hubby, since my kids were not in the greatest mood.  I'm so lucky to have him.  We also went to shopping on black Friday.  My mom watched the boys at home, while my hubby, my sisters (Desi and Keshia), and I went shopping Thursday night.  I did not like the fact that their starting Black Friday so early.  Its called Black Friday for a reason.  It was nice we were able to get half our Christmas shopping done, mainly all the boys and nephews gifts.  My mom's dog also had puppies for Thanksgiving and my kids wont leave them alone!  I've been busy making Christmas presents all month too!  We've been very blessed in our lives and with our little family!  I love all my family and extended family too!

Brayden

Adventures-  Well he hasn't had much going on this month.  He loved every minute with his cousins while they were done.  He followed Ty around everywhere.  When he woke up he would ask right away "where's Ty?"  He's become obsessed with the female puppy.  He even named her Baby Po (from Kung Fu Panda).  His most recent movie he watches all the time is "Kung Fu Panda".  He seemed to be more on the grouchy side and very whinny.  He is on and off about being nice with Parker.  He is nice at first, but if Parker doesn't respond nice back then he is mean and pushes him.  We have definitely been working on that, but I guess that's a 2yr old for ya.    He is very thoughtful tho and loves giving hugs.  He is a lot better about being nice to the dogs too, which he never means to.  He just didn't know how to be gentle when trying to hold or play with them.  He has become more dramatic in acting things out, which makes me think he'll be in the drama club lol!

Growth-  He is the same with all his learning stuff.  He's talking more clear everyday.  He is getting better at say everyone's name correctly. He is 37 in and 28 1/2 lbs.  He just got two of his 2yr molers in too, which explains why for almost a week he wouldn't eat anything.

Parker

Adventures- He as had not such a good month.  First he pushed over a big ceramic mold (about 50+ lbs) on his foot.  It was so bad he couldn't walk on it, so we took him to the hospital.  They took an x-ray and it wasn't broken, but bruised to the bone. It took a week before he could walk on it normal without limping or anything.  Then he was sick on Thanksgiving :( and we took him to the doc.  It was a virus that would of turned into strep throat.    He did have tons of fun with his all his aunts and cousins visiting.  He mainly wanted his Aunt Britt or Trelynn, mainly because they would always hold him 24/7!  He still likes to snuggle and be held all the time.  We now have seven shows he will sit and watch; "Megamind", "Cars", "Despicable Me", "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", "A,B,C's", "Finding Nemo", and "Kung Fu Panda"!  Before all we could get him to watch was  "Megamind", "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse",and "A,B,C's"!  He now has a routine every morning.  The first thing he does in watch a movie for an hour, while I fix breakfast and such.  I think he does it to help himself wake up more and not be so grouchy.  I personally don't think its a good thing, but its awful all day if he doesn't have the one hour of TV in the morning.  He has a temper tho.  If Brayden gets in his space without his permission he gets mad at Brayden.  That's when Brayden is mean back to Parker.  He throws big fits tho, but I've learned just to ignore him and they don't last as long.  He's a hitter tho and does it all the time, but no matter how many times I put him in time out or bed, he still does it!  He is a total opposite of Brayden.  He gets into everything on purpose just to make a mess and doesn't listen at all!  He's really good about going to sleep on his own and in his own bed, unless he is sick and then he has to have mommy lay with him.

Growth-  He still takes a bottle for naps and bed time, but every once in a blue moon he'll fall asleep without one.   He is talking a lot more and saying a lot more words now.  He is learning so fast.  There are too many words to put them all on here.  He is 33 in and 22 lbs.  He still only has 6 teeth too.
